We strive to integrate Olde World hospitality and charm with a casual, laid back and relaxing modern day atmosphere. We have ample interior seating, plus picnic tables set out by the vineyards and under the Black Walnut tree, covered porch seating, and a beautiful open-air deck, with views of Old Rag and the Blue Ridge mountains.

Spend an afternoon with us and enjoy a tasting or flight. Relax with a glass of wine or share a bottle. Listen to live acoustic music, enjoy a picnic, sit by the firepits, or join us for one of our special pairing events hosted throughout the year.

Explore! Things to Do

Please note the following for your visit:

  • We welcome all visitors, including children, but we ask that children stay with you under adult supervision at all times.
  • We pride ourselves on being "dog-friendly" and allowing visiting dogs on leash both inside and out, but it is important for visitors to know that our winery dogs run free on the property and in and out of the tasting room and often greet our guests, both human and canine!
  • See requirement for groups larger than 6 people below. Otherwise, all seating, both indoors and outdoors under the covered porch, on the deck, and on the open grounds, are first come first served.
  • We are wheelchair accessible from the parking lot to the tasting room entrance (concrete and no steps) as well as inside, including accessible bathrooms. In addition, our covered porch is concrete and our deck has a ramp.
  • All individuals participating in a tasting, or purchasing glasses or bottles of wine, must be 21 years of age and have a valid ID available.
  • Virginia law strictly forbids outside (non-Magnolia Vineyards) alcoholic beverages regardless of age of guest or container type. As this is outside of our purview, any guests bringing or consuming outside alcohol on our premises will be asked to depart immediately.
  • It is a violation of Virginia law for us to further serve or sell our wine to anyone that is obviously intoxicated. We are a family run establishment and ask all of our guests to enjoy our products responsibly and to be receptive to any limitations our staff imposes.

About Groups:

Due to the limited size of our facilities and staff we have to plan our scheduling for larger groups and events carefully. Accommodation for groups larger than 6 persons, including those under 21, requires advance reservations.

Email mvw@magnoliavineyards.com or call 703.785.8190, and provide the date/time and the number of people in your party.

Group tasting fees are $17 - $20 per person. Group tasting fees do not qualify for the 3 bottle purchase waiver.

Wine tastings and flights

Enjoy a traditional wine tasting with each wine paired with a bite of cheese or chocolate. Tastings include 1 oz pours.

  • Our current tastings are offered at $14 per person (for 7 wines) or $17 (for 10 wines).
  • One base tasting fee ($14) will be waived for each 3 bottle wine purchase in the same visit.
  • Tastings are typically done self-guided at a table, with our team stopping by to discuss the wines, our history, and answer any questions you have.
  • Guided tastings at the bar are offered on weekdays and on weekends in limited capacity, upon request.

Please note that a tasting may include 6 -10 wines, each paired with cheese or chocolate, but the number of wines may vary based on availability and limited time special offerings.

We also offer flights of 4 wines: red, white, mixed and sweet. Flights include 3 oz pours of the 4 wines. Plus, each month we have a special "flight of the month", which may include a "mini vertical" of the same wine/varietal from 4 vintages (years) or a mix of wines from our library. These flights are usually 2 oz pours.

Enjoy your own picnic or our light fare

  • Visitors are welcome to picnic on the grounds outside or inside the tasting room. We have tables on the covered wrap-around porch, outside on the deck and on the grounds by the Black Walnut tree with views of the Blue Ridge mountains, plus a vast area for laying out blankets or chairs among the vines.
  • We offer a selection of light fare for purchase, including specialty cheeses, meats, crackers, baguettes, and locally made sourdough breads.
  • We also have occasional food trucks on-site. Check the events page for food truck dates.
  • Outside food is currently permitted in all seating areas both indoors and outside. We only ask that guests clean up behind themselves so that others may immediately enjoy the same area.
  • Check out the local Amissville Market (at the corner of Route 211 and Viewtown Rd) for fresh baked goods, handcrafted deli sandwiches, and a daily fresh soup. Or visit the Route 211 Eats & Marketplace (at the intersection of Route 211 and 229 between Warrenton and Amissville) for a variety of local food truck options!

Food Menu

Enjoy fun events, food trucks and live music

We host fun events at the tasting room throughout the year, including wine pairings such as cupcakes and wine, chocolate truffles and wine, cookies and wine, cheesecake and wine, and Halloween candy and wine. We also host wine dinners 2-3 times per year, library wine tasting events, and more!

We have food trucks the 2nd Saturday of the month from May through October, as well as select other dates. We stay open late (until 8pm) for Yappy Hour on the 4th Friday of each month from May through October, with live music, wine specials and food (4p - 8p).

Enjoy live acoustic music every Saturday March through December, some Saturdays January-February, and several Sundays throughout the year.

Check out our Events page for all of our upcoming events.
